Encountered a number of heartaches throughout his lifetime. As a young teen, I know alot of us WHO are now in our 30s also have fond memories of the DJ
Born in 1966 in Spanish Town, he was raised by his Rastafarian grandmother and began performing with sound systems (including Black Scorpio and Creation) in the late 1970s. He won the Tastee Talent contest in 1981. He went on to become one of the major dancehall artists of the late 1980s and 1990s.
His brother and fellow deejay Dirtsman was murderedin 1993. In the three years that followed his sister was killed in a motorcycle accident, his cousin was killed by police, and he himself had legal problems after being arrested on weapons charges. He turned to Christianity in 1997. This is also reflected in his style, as he started off as a true dancehall deejay, later adopting traits of Gospel and Christian music.
His newest single released in JANUARY 2014, ENTITLED: GET RIGHT- not only displays his lyrical talent, which he obviously hasnt lost- but I also think that dancehall is in need of some GOSPEL REVIVAL. Without God we are lost- Check the nonsense dance moves & RAW sexual madness floating pon di dancehall scene nowadays. Kmt.

If you don't already know by now- Jamaican djs TONY MATTERHORN & NASHEEN INNOCENT have been cursing each other blind vÃa instagram & facebook. The 2 have been arguing back & forth vÃa video for the past few days. This all started when the feisty DJ MATTERHORN decided to model a #27 wig about 16 inches in length, to mock a particular dancehall patron who was also involved in a baby fada commess some weeks ago. Dancehall Files is unsure of how DJ NASHEEN found himself involved in this heated feud- but he had some DJ choice words for MATTERHORN, the DJ turn comedian in his spare time.
Now the vÃdeos of MATTERHORN have been circulating with huge LIKES. The most popular of the few was the one he recorded in the wig, telling Bounty Killer to come eat him dinner, while laying in bed.
Unuh know how Jamaican men tek the eating pum pum ting offensive?
Matterhorn even want as far as banishing the wig by reading Psalm 27.
Now Nasheen INNOCENT aka Nasheen Fire, formerly of Capricorn sound ( yes i did my homework) promises a war to the comical DJ Matterhorn. What Kinda war- I hope its only turntable war dem a talk bout, cause Its getting serious.

Hello,
I am the owner of Dance hall Files, aimed at sharing dance hall music & trends to other parts of the world. I am Jamaican by birth, been a part of the dance hall scene since my early teens back on the Island of Jamaica. This is a part of the my culture that I really love. Most people are familiar with our Island's reggae music, however dance hall is considered the "underground" to the normal reggae movement that most are familiar with. Well, I aim to share this underground part of our exciting musical culture.
I will blog about our dance hall artistes, the newest dance hall trends-dance moves, dance hall party reviews & the latest in dance hall music.
I am also a TV Host for Dance hall Connections, a program which is aired on a weekly basis via Channel 394 on Flow TV in Jamaica.

Artiste following tattooed-eye fashion trend, almost goes blind.
SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA RESPECT OTHER people's STUPIDITY- BUT THIS SHOULD BE AN EYE OPENER TO OTHERS. ( pun intended).
Him guh tattoo fi him yeye ball black, all because him see another artiste guh dweet, and nearly guh blind when the needle accidentally pierced too deep into a layer of his eyeball. He had to be taken to the hospital to save his eyesight. He' s supposedly an artiste, one I've never heard of before- so I guess this is/ was his attempt to draw attention to himself, the same way another dancehall artiste did. DESPERATION PON ANOTHER LEVEL! I won't even mention this one's name, because of his stupidity.
This should be an eye- opener to the other FALLA FASHION MONKEYS who were planning on getting this fashionably-dumb procedure done. Was he not thinking about his future? Which woman woulda waan lovingly stare into dem yah black eyez? Do you expect people to really take you seriously? CHUPPPS....
